E-File Pedicure: Foot Prep and Treatment Technique

1 мин чтения

Feet carry the body's weight every day, so the skin and nail plate are denser than on hands. Tools and technique need to be adapted accordingly.

Foot prep

Start with a soak or softening product — dry, rough skin resists treatment and increases injury risk. Disinfect the foot and the tool before starting.

E-file bits

  • Coarse abrasive bit — removing calluses and rough skin, large grit.
  • Nail plate bit — thickened toenails need a more powerful bit than fingernails.
  • Polisher — finishing skin and nail without over-drying.

Find the right files, discs and bits for feet in Pedicure, including abrasive discs and diamond burs.

Treatment order

Start with the nail plate (shape and length), then rough skin and calluses, and finish with cuticle and sidewalls. This order reduces the risk of re-touching an already-treated area.

Common mistakes

  • Too fine a grit on rough skin — the bit heats up and slides instead of removing
  • Skipping disinfection between clients
  • Removing all rough skin in one session — this speeds up regrowth

The right sequence and bits make pedicure predictable and comfortable — for both technician and client.
